Was that a story ? Or a long description of a story ?

Guy meets girl,guy roars everyone know that means a true mate has been found.... They go back to her place where they have sex and the end... This isn't really a story,everything is basically told to you in the desc.,except for a rather boring ex scene...
Btw what it it with saying pussy constantly in a "sex" scene?
Personally I find the word know bad tacky and low rent but used in the right context with the right characters it could make a scene kinda edgy and dirty ( in a real good way ;) like when the right kids guy is talking dirty to a woman to shock her or set a scene for example but in a rather backcourt and PG standard type sex scene in this insta -love setting its just redundant and boring.. We know where he is we honestly don't need to be reminded every sentence or every other sentence .. Let's say he was in Paris you wouldn't feel the need to remind us he's in Paris every time he simply crossed a street would you ? I don't need to be reminded he's still in her pussy every time he moves in and out or she clenches him... Geez... Sorry read too make sex scenes like this recently and their redundancy is starting to get on my last nerve..
Story wasn't worth the download even if it was free much less .99 cents more a pamphlet than a story, there's honestly nothing to it ;(
Wanna read something worth it by R.E. Butler read "Slash of Savagery" or "Callie and the Cats" or one of the 1st few Hyena Heat books but skip this, " Nothing here to See Folks" just keep the n movie moving.... I wasted my time don't waste yours...

I like the New World she's brought to us with this new series

R.E. Butler is a favorite author of mine &, generally speaking, does not disappoint. This new series brings us a different shifter world. All supernaturals are 'out' & required to register each time they travel to a new place. Alaric (H) is traveling with his siblings in search of his truemate. He & his brothers signed up with the shifter version of the MMA. His sister, Lia, travels with them. These 4 sibs are the last of the Saber-tooth Tigers. After dreaming about his truemate for a year he FINALLY finds her.

Aubrey, sister to the Master Vampire of the city, is human. She manages the Supernatural Hotel, so she's very familiar with all things Supe related. Strong-willed & intelligent, she has NO problem accepting Alaric as hers.

My only complaint is that there is SO much opportunity here for a full-length story & it wasn't taken advantage of. It may have been the author's way of trying out new material without wasting precious time & energy - which is understandable.But, please, R.E.B., know that I'd LOVE to see this series fully fleshed out. It's a great opportunity for you.

There is no story here. I'd like to get to know about the characters more. There seems to be a issue and the siblings need to have a conversation, then nothing. The end. Wait for the next book. Really?! Maybe I'll read this when it All comes together in the last story. This is not book 1. This is the first chapter.

About the Author

Alvin I. Goldman is Board of Governors Professor of Philosophy and Cognitive Science at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. A leading epistemologist for several decades, his books include Reliabilism and Contemporary Epistemology (2012) and Pathways to Knowledge (2002).

Matthew McGrath is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He has published on a range of topics in epistemology and is best known for work on pragmatic encroachment, including Knowledge in an Uncertain World (2009).

Who thought what, when, where, and why...

The history of Christian theology, and thus the history of Christianity, is inextricably linked with the history of the way that Christian have read the Bible. This has not been consistent over the course of the last few millennia, and having a grasp on this history of Biblical interpretation is essential for anyone who wants to keep up with or make sense of the rapid pace of change in the field of biblical interpretation today.
Perhaps at no other period in history has the number of ways the Bible can be read, interpreted, and used been as varied as it is today. This can be easily seen by a simple examination of the table of contents of Donald McKim's 'Historical Handbook of Major Biblical Interpreters'. The number of major interpreters from just the nineteenth and twentieth centuries outnumbers the interpreters from the preceeding 18 centuries.
A word on the word interpretation -- this has become a dirty word of sorts by some denominations, who pride themselves on not interpreting the Bible, but taking it literally. However, as one can see by examining the history of biblical exegesis, taking the scripture literally is in fact an interpretation. McKim doesn't (nor do I) discount the historicity or validity of literal interpretation as an expression of biblical interpretation.
Christianity has been interpreting scriptures since the very beginning; even Jesus interpreted the Hebrew scriptures for disciples and others. As the canon of the Bible came to be solidified in form, the work of interpreting this centuries-to-millennia-old texts for the emerging Christendom took on major importance, and was seen for the longest time as the primary (and sometimed exclusive) responsibility of the church.
However, there has always been a give and take between academic and formally-trained interpretation and more personal avenues of interpretation. 'The practice of biblical exegesis takes place at a host of levels by a wide array of people. Indeed, whenever anyone reads the Bible and explicates its meaning, biblical interpretation is taking place.'
McKim's volume focusses on the most significant interpreters, as defined by those who have had impact on others following and the raising of important issues. Alas, as McKim comments in the preface, there are many other interpreters who might be included, but for space considerations. As it is, this is a lengthy, 630+ page reference volume with relatively small print, presented in a double-column format.
The sections are arranged in chronological order, so that for the 'sit-down-and-read-it-straight-through' reader, the development over time of biblical interpretation will be seen easily (however, it is not a strict chronology -- the individual articles in the sections are arranged alphabetically by interpreter). Attached to each article is a bibliography, broken into two parts: Works of the interpreter being highlighted, and Studies which focus on or analyse the work of the interpreter. The book is also cross-referenced for easy use to see developmental strands that do not occur in direct chronological succession.
Nearly 100 contributors, major scholars in the study of the language, historical period, or person being highlighted, have been included in this work. Interpreters are divided into the following broad categories:
Biblical Interpretation in the Early Church
Biblical Interpretation in the Middle Ages
Biblical Interpretation in the 16th and 17th Centuries
Biblical Interpretation in the 18th and 19th Centuries
Biblical Interpretation in 20th Century Europe
Biblical Interpretation in 20th Century North America
From Athanasius (an early church father in Alexandria) to contemporary interpreters such as Walter Brueggemann and Elisabeth Schussler Fiorenza, essays on interpreters includes a short biography, and proceeds to give critical descriptions of the major aspects of their work.
This is not only a valuable reference for students and scholars, but an ideal volume for the arm-chair theologian, or really anyone who is interested in learning more about the Bible and how it has been viewed through time.
With such a large number of contributors, it is difficult to find a 'representative' example of writing to illustrate. However, McKim is no stranger to the editing of major reference works, having been editor also of the Westminster Dictionary of Theological Terms and the Encyclopedia of the Reformed Faith, both of which are highly regarded for their authority, comprehensiveness and clarity.
McKim does address the need for further volumes which expand beyond the scope of this work. 'Studies of women interpreters are underrepresented, as are studies of those who are not Western, white males. This volume is clearly oriented toward those who have produced significant work in the Western branch of the Christian church and whose writings have, on the whole, emerged from Europe or North America. This is where predominant writings have been produced since the Middle Ages. Further books should one day be created to highlight the contributions of those not represented in this volume.'
Despite this limitation, this is nonetheless a necessary volume for the understanding of biblical interpretation issues, and can serve both as a handy reference or a narrative study.

This work is huge. It is double-columned and covers the major biblical interpreters of the church' history. If you need a comprehensive reference work this is it. From Athanasius to G.E Wright. It is easily one of my top five favorite books I had the pleasure of reading in 99.

Then there is a list of the major interpreters listed in alphabetical order, with a short biography of their main arguments and an even shorter biography of the man discussed.

It covers the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and then jumps to the 18th and 19th centuries.

Those looking for the newest themes in biblical interpretation will be disappointed, however. In the 20th century the biographies seem to stop with about 1970. Other than that, this is invaluable.

About the Author
Christos Tzimas started the first Greek Scrabble club (Kastoria, 1999), strongly contributed to the making of Greek competitive Scrabble rules and organized the first Greek Scrabble Championship in 2005. He has also published the list of 7-letter words (bingos) in 2006 and translated Stefan Fatsis’ “Wordfreak” into Greek (2007). Yannis Papavlassiou kept all Greek Scrabble tournament statistics and data for a long time, being a member of the Scrabble Club of Thessaloniki. He contributed to the tournament and club play for years.

About the Author
Thomas L. Rost is a professor of plant biology at the University of California, Davis and is currently the Executive Associate Dean there in the Division of Biological Sciences. He received his B.S. in biology from St. John's University, his M.A. in biology from Mankato State University, and his Ph.D. in botany from Iowa State University. He has taught developmental plant anatomy for almost 30 years. His primary research interests include the structure and development of roots in vascular plants and structural aspects of Pierce's disease in grape vines.

Michael Barbour is a plant ecologist in the Environmental Horticulture Department at the University of California, Davis. His research blends ecophysiology, population biology, and vegetation science. His current research projects include a state-wide survey of vernal pool vegetation in California for conservation purposes, a search for vegetation and soil traits that define "old-growth" status for montane mixed conifer forest and a continuum of values for those traits that correlate with successional distance from old-growth status, and a reconstruction of pre-contact old-growth Californian mixed conifer forest. These projects have been supported by the USDA Forest Service, the National Science Foundation, the Packard Foundation, the California Department of Fish and Game, and the California Department of Transportation.

Ralph Stocking received his degrees in plant nutrition and plant physiology from University of California, Berkeley and University of California, Davis. His research background concerns water relations of plants, photosynthesis, and chloroplast structure and development, on which subjects he has published over 80 scientific papers. He has also been a coauthor of nine editions of the UC Davis series of botany/plant biology books.

Terence Murphy is a professor of plant biology at the University of California, Davis. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego in cell biology, and has taught courses in introductory biology, plant physiology, and plant molecular biology. His research areas include the effects of stress on plant cells, particularly on DNA, membrane transport, and oxygen metabolism. Terence Murphy has over 30 years of experience teaching introductory biology courses.

Simple read, informative

This book is written in a very clear style so that students of all ages can understand it. I used this book for a college level plant biology class, but I could see people using it as early as middle school for an introduction to botany. It may not be worth the price if you're just buying the book for leisure reading, but remember that you're paying for a textbook.

Its literally biology growing in a book

Everything is in the book, the price is right, but the book was not well taken care of. It looks like someone spilled (red Kool-aid) on the book, and some mold started to grow in the back pages. Funny, a "plant biology" book with mold growing in the pages, how literal is that, I bet the book companies never thought of doing that for a new type of learning experience.

He has received much recognition for his work, including the Pilkington Prize of the University of Cambridge for Excellence in Teaching and a CBE in the millennium honours list for his services to astronomy and cosmology. His previous well-received books for Cambridge University Press include Theoretical Concepts in Physics (2003), The Cosmic Century: A History of Astrophysics and Cosmology (2005) and High Energy Astrophysics (2011).

well written about the essential parts in undergraduate physics

I received this book for exam copy from cambridge University Press.
It is well arranged accordingto the intelligently designed purpose
as well as historical flow in physics. Each chapter selected in great
discernment and deep thought from scratch. I think this book provide
most essential part of undergraduate physics in detailed concept and
historical development perspective in sharp insight using reasonable
degree of mathematical skill. I was really impressed and highly recommend!

Great book from a historical standpoint

Although it does not teach you methods in Theoretical Physics(such as Morse and Feshbach or Theoretical Physics by George Joos), it does tell you how the great physicists got to bring about the great physical "Theorems". But to be fair, he tells you enough about each great theory there is out there by taking it up as a case study based on some fundamental(amthematical and physical) knowledge. I think it's a brilliant book from both a historical perspective as well as from a informative standpoint. I've had it for years and love the book

Historical introduction to the world of advanced physics. Use for a British honors seminar. I keep a copy on my bed stand. It's the best read for opening to random passages on the development of Maxwell's equations, thermodynamics, special relativity, etc. I gave one to my nephew. The blue one is the US edition, the red is full of authentic colour!

He also studied for a philosophy doctorate at the University of Washington and won the Hong Kong cha-cha championship as a teenager in 1958. A multifaceted charismatic figure who would stand out in a crowd of hundreds, he was also a family man who valued his privacy. The best

Of all the many books I have read on Bruce Lee I think this biography is far and away the best. The previous reviewer reflected my thought exactly, that the author, Bruce Thomas, is "respectful but not caught up in hero worship". I would add that this is the only Bruce Lee book I have read that manages to walk that line. Bruce Thomas clearly has a personality and spirituality that is mature enough to have captured and integrated the essence of Bruce Lee. The biography is well-researched and detailed but this is more than a biography...it is a great book.

About the Author
Author Dr Lance Setterfield, Medical Director of Acacia Dermacare in Victoria, Canada, was one of the early adopters of this treatment modality and consequently has many years of experience to share. He has vast experience with all forms of skin rejuvenation modalities and conducted many years of research and clinical trials to evaluate the effectiveness of these modalities in specific situations. Dr Setterfield believes optimizing skin health through regulating cell function is an attainable goal. He specializes in ideal skin rejuvenation treatment programs that protect the epidermis, preserve the dermal papillae, optimize cell function, break down scar tissue and rebuild the extracellular matrix with normal collagen, as opposed to scar tissue.

I love the book. It is amazing! It has so much information in it. This book has given me what I need to give the best dermal rolling treatment that I can. Dr. Setterfield teaches you so much science behind the skin and how dermal needling is the best treatment out there. Also Advanced Skin Analysis and Cosmetic Chemisty by Florence Barrett-Hill are very good books for anyone in the field of skincare.

Dermal Needling Guide expanded edition has just arrived. Enjoy the additional information on microneedling both conventional rollers and pen type needling.

Great Information

This book has an incredible amount of information on micro-needling. The author does a great job explaining everything. Amazon usually has excellent prices for books-not so here. Very expensive (hence the 4 star, rather than 5)but full of useful content.
